We have planned four different promotions centered around the chicken sandwich. The goal is to get the sandwich in more customers’ hands, primarily NEW customers. MDF can be used to cover up to 50% of the retail cost for the free item.

We know that it doesn't sound like a good business investment to GIVE AWAY food, but it WILL pay off. When you give something away it gives opportunity for FREE publicity (think about Facebook groups, news features, word of mouth) AND it gets people trying your food who normally wouldn't have otherwise. This is the tried and true way to get NEW customers.

Execute Successfully: Focus on GRAB AND GO. 

1. Begin making 15 sandwiches (or more) at approximately 10:45 AM, following the chicken sandwich instructions. Sandwiches have a hold time of 2 hours.

2. Place the sandwiches in a grab and go cabinet (preferably located near the register).

3. When you have sold approximately 50% of the sandwiches, make another ½ bag of sandwiches and refill the grab and go, placing the new sandwiches at the back.

4. If you are 30 minutes away from your hold-time expiring for your sandwiches, consider using those sandwiches as samples.
