Holts Summit, Mo – Champs Chicken® is pleased to announce a new partnership with Gas Express LLC, a franchisee of Circle K convenience stores based in the Atlanta region.
Beginning in spring of 2020, over 30 Gas Express LLC’s Circle K locations will begin serving Champs Chicken in the Atlanta, GA and Little Rock, AR communities. By end of 2021, over 60 locations will offer this hot chicken program.
Champs Chicken is famous for its premium 5-star, freshly breaded chicken tenders along with a full menu line-up. Its menu includes a variety of meal options and sides including crispy fish and shrimp, chicken sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, potato wedges, sweet corn and so much more. Based on location, a few Circle K stores will have the Cooper’s Express® menu, featuring a simplified menu and a kicked-up Cajun flavor profile.

This partnership comes at a time when chicken is proving to be a signature item in the convenience store industry. According to a 2019 GasBuddy survey, foodservice dollars comprise nearly 23% of total convenience store sales, which is a 3% increase over the past five years. Not only has foodservice grown, but chicken sandwiches rank second only to burgers as the most popular food item on restaurant menus, according to The NPD Group.
