Store Success Callout: Catering at Valero - Champs Chicken

I am so proud of this location, and grateful that I get to help be a part of their success. They are DOMINATING this whole catering thing! Back in February, Valero Champs Chicken embraced the idea that they wanted to be where people are looking for food and signed up to be on third-party delivery apps, including ezCater. They have seen tons of orders and a lot of success since joining online ordering apps, including with catering, but this past week was really something else.

Last week, Valero received a catering order from large company who wanted to feed all of their employees for lunch. This order on its own was a huge win. But then, just two days later, the same company ordered AGAIN because they liked it so much (they chose Champs Chicken over Zaxby's by the way). So, another big win!

You have the time to make all the food you need, you know exactly how much to make, and it allows you to staff your restaurant accordingly. We all know what a challenge labor has been and continues to be in the food service industry, so knowing exactly how much staff you'll need ahead of time is a huge benefit that comes with adding catering.

My biggest advice to stores who aren't already doing catering is to just try it.
